Bear Lake

This year the McInnes family decided to try out Bear Lake instead of going to Lake Powell. Everyone was a little hesitant since they have been going to Lake Powell every year since they were little. Lake Powell is awesome and I do love it too, but it turned out to be soo much fun. Matt's family is all so much fun and they can have fun doing about anything. But their was some definite advantages to spending the weekend at Bear Lake this year. Being pregnant and having a little guy who is still kinda immobile, I loved that we were able to stay in a condo and the weather was about 20 degrees cooler. All in all, we had a great weekend :)

The water was crystal blue and the beaches had such soft sand and stayed shallow for a long way out. The kids were able to play in the water and sand all day! Ashley and Max digging and collecting seashells and rocks.

The kids all made a river for Porter to play in......And it turned into his own little pool :) He stayed their digging and playing in the water for hours.

The kids all had so much fun on the boats. They would spend all day tubing and taking rides if they could!

I loved that Porter could take naps. It makes life soo much more enjoyable :) And he loved his Elmo bed. He took 3 hour naps everyday. It was awesome. If only he slept like that at home.

All of the cousins were so good to Porter. Since he still wasn't walking much on his own, they all carried him around and played with him.

The last night there we had a dance competition. Missy thought it would be fun for everyone to come up with a dance routine. All the kids were awesome. I couldn't believe that they were all so willing to get up in front of everyone. And they all have some pretty good rhythm.

And Porter doing some kinda dance move :) Actually, just a summersault.It was nice to have so many different things to do. They could swim and play at the beach or take tube rides in the boat. Then when they were tired of the beach, they could take a dip in the pool or hot tub. Or they could just run around and ride bikes on the huge grass area. The guys also had a blast riding 4-wheelers. It was such a beautiful area and their were trails to take 4-wheelers on. All the adults were even able to sneak away for pizza and yummy rasberry shakes. The best part was just being able to hang out with everyone. We missed Jennifer's family and Alan's family; but we were lucky enough to have everyone else there (at least for part of the time). Such a fun weekend. I hope they will make Bear Lake a must in the future.
